Try it using just CVS; that is what I do, it works OK; it justs not the
best if you wish to develop for WINE.

This is what I think I use to check out the HEAD of the git.
FYI: Git supports CVS access if you did not know it.

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:cvs:cvs(a)cvs.winehq.org:/home/wine checkout wine
