I think Launchpad has the exact same issues but somehow in Ubuntu the voting is much more useful than in Bugzilla...
One of the best ways to trace a common mistake in Ubuntu right after the release is to look at the votes, these issues usually get a lot og attention and they automatically get a higher priority...
