Minor point, but it would be more in the Wine style to code above as:

+        if (S_ISDIR( st.st_mode ))
+        {
+            if (!show_dir_symlinks) return NULL;
+            name_is_link = FILE_ATTRIBUTE_REPARSE_POINT;
+        }
