Possibly. In a similar situation in e.g. wined3d I'd default to not exposing the new interface, but I expect, perhaps naively, that currently working Direct2D applications are a fair bit less prevalent. I'd happily change this to be disabled by default though.
If we include this before 3.0, then yes I think it should be disabled. But it may make more sense to defer it, and add it enabled by default after 3.0 is out. -- Alexandre Julliard julliard(a)winehq.org
