I just run into a page about an OSS pthreads implementation on top of win32.
I dont know if this can be useful for wine, but somebody may be interested...

Looks useful, thanks. Looking at the list of implemented functions, it
looks like at any rate we could steal the pthread_cond_* functions which
I sometimes see fixmes for.

This might also be of interest to the guys who were asking about it
earlier this month.
