sharing windows between processes

Some time ago I raised the issue of the fact that windows handles cannot be
shared between processes on the same server and was told that it was a
known significant issue.

Is anyone doing anything about it?

It seems to me that what has to be done is to have wineserver coordinate
the allocation of handles.

Any comments?
