Mysterious icon-change

I am told this is what the Internet Explorer icon looks like after 
winetests.exe is run.
Strange eh?

The Windows icon cache has always been one of the buggiest pieces of
code. I always assumed they fixed it for NT/2000/XP but it wouldn't
surprise me in the slightest if it still gets corrupted at times.

This happens quite a lot on ever version of Windows. I have this
problem on my Windows NT 4 Workstation all the time. TweakUI has the
option to repair desktop icons because of this.

Rant: TweakUI was developed by Microsoft shell programmers that had
access to the Windows source code. If they knew this was a bug you
would have thought they would just fix the problem rather than write a
external application.
