Bug 3002: regression in serial port

the reporter has found a regression in serial port handling, and 
narrowed it down to this CVS commit from January:

Log message:
	- got rid of include/async.h
	- fixed some overlapped issues in socket handling
	- moved kernel32.CancelIo implementation to ntdll

The bug includes a description of where to get the app and how to run it.
