Is Wine SMP-safe yet?

I've seen conflicting reports about whether Wine is safe
to run on SMP systems.

Have the issues described in
http://www.winehq.org/hypermail/wine-devel/2005/01/0060.html
been taken care of?

I just pinged the reporter of the only bug with SMP in the summary,
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2708
to see if he can still reproduce it.
