This patch causes test_shell_window tests fail under win2k SP4.
Please either fix the failures or revert the patch.

Sorry, I didn't notice it was adding to the errors, I only
aimed at keeping the desktop usable.  Whatever those tests
do, it's voodoo magic for me, so my fix could only be
removing the test_shell_window tests.  Not very creative, so
I'd rather shut up.
