RFC: API db

Hello,

This is a request for comments relating to the API database at http://winedb.pavely.net.


The backend database has been redesigned to improve database performance and produce more accurate results.  It currently contains import/export and ordinal data for various windows versions as well as WINE.


What I would like is some feedback from the WINE development community about what you would like to see in a front-end to the database.  This could range from suggestions on presenting data in an easy-to-understand manner to adding additional data to the database.

Current suggestions include the following:

1.  Cross reference and compare windows versions and dll versions

2.  List exports and imports for a given dll

3.  create dependency tree for dlls

4.  Determine which APIs are used by specific applications

5.  Determine most used / least used APIs and dlls  (pinpoint what functionality is important for many apps)

6.  Compare ordinals across windows versions  (helps determine when WINE should / should not export by ordinal)
