Why would you want to do that? This should probably rename "broken_warp" to "optional", and then validate the results are consistent with CheckDeviceFormat().

Why would you want to do that? I didn't want to get into the weed of implementing this thing or break apps that may rely on us simply ignoring the flag. But for some reason I didn't consider the obvious choice of adding a todo_wine...
