Performance issues

Hello people,

How can i improve performance in GUI applications under wine? I have a
cobol application here made with microfocus netexpress and I can see the
button icons reloading every type I refresh the screen.
I'm using wine from CVS with a PIII 900Mhz redhat 7.3 box.
