Folks, Just a heads up that we are starting the process of moving the various Wine mailing lists to a new 'list.winehq.org' domain. So for instance the wine-devel list is going to be at <wine-devel(a)list.winehq.org>. This is necessary to make it possible to host the lists on a different server in the future. Sending mail to the existing @winehq.org addresses will still work, so the change should be mostly transparent, but you may see the list.winehq.org domain start creeping up in the mail headers, and may need to adjust your filters. Note that the recommended way is to filter on the List-Id: header; that one is not expected to change. Thank you for your understanding, -- Alexandre Julliard julliard(a)winehq.org
We've also changed the reply-to field on outgoing emails from the mailing lists. It is now set it to the new host of @list.winehq.org. On 11/6/25 02:34, Alexandre Julliard wrote:

Folks, We are now ready for the second phase of the Wine mailing lists migration, where we will move the lists to a different server. We have selected mailmanlists.net to host our lists. The plan is for the migration to happen on Monday December 8. There may be a downtime of a few hours while we get everything settled. This will result in the following changes: - It will be necessary to use the @list.winehq.org domain to post to the lists, so for instance <wine-devel(a)list.winehq.org>. The old @winehq.org addresses will no longer work. We considered setting up forwarding, but apparently this doesn't work well, and was strongly discouraged by the MailmanLists people. - The List-Id: header will change, so you'll need to update your filters. - The subscribers lists will be transferred, so your subscriptions will be preserved. - The mailing lists archives will be transferred, and will be available at the same address (https://list.winehq.org/mailman3/hyperkitty/). - User accounts will *not* be transferred, so if you had created an account on the old server you'll need to re-create one on the new server (an account is not necessary to subscribe to the lists, but it can be useful if you want to change your preferences) Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, -- Alexandre Julliard julliard(a)winehq.org

OK, https://list.winehq.org is now our new server, and everything should be back in working order. There have been quite a few glitches during the transition, thank you all for bearing with us during that process. And many thanks to Jeremy Newman for taking care of everything! As noted, you now have to use the @list.winehq.org address to post to the lists. The List-Id header has changed and matches the list name, so for instance, for wine-devel@list.winehq.org the List-Id will be <wine-devel.list.winehq.org>. Also as mentioned, subscriptions have been transferred, but not individual user accounts, so if you had created an account on the old server to change your preferences, you'll need to create a new one at https://list.winehq.org. The mailing list archives are up and running at a new URL: https://list.winehq.org/archives. We are hoping to get a redirect in place from the old URL shortly. If you find any other issues with the new server please let me know, -- Alexandre Julliard julliard@winehq.org
