Fedora Core 2 VM layout
There's a thread going on the fedora-devel list about exec-shield, legacy_va_layout, and WINE: <https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2004-December/msg00132.html> Some WINE experts might want to weigh in over there. Are these still issues with the current WINE release?

No, they are no longer issues in wine and CrossOver due to us using our own loader which reserves the virtual memory addresses needed by programs. The problem is that Cedega doesn't do this. Their customers should ask them why they don't use the LGPL wine-preloader. Rob
