Office '97 and Office XP

I cant seem to get Office '97 installed. Setup starts up and when it says "Searching for installed components", It says "Setup cannot continue". What could be causing that? I can install Office 2000 properly but '97 wont install? Also after tinkering around with my wine configuration, [Best results is when I say im running Winme] but it tries installing but then has a problem. It would be great getting the Office '97 and XP installation working easily.
