Currently, 256x256 is just a scaled up version of 48x48 across Wine. 8-bit and 4-bit are a legacy feature going back to the XP days: http://www.iconconstructor.com/winXPIcons.htm , but it would be nice to have for consistency. -- https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/8367#note_111391
