It's perhaps worth pointing out that even if Wine's DXGI were to stop using vkd3d_acquire_vk_queue(), that wouldn't make the API go away.
In that case we won't be able to use a threaded implementation. @giomasce I think the patch for preventing duplicate entries in the blocked queue list should be included also. I'll be able to review all of it. -- https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/vkd3d/-/merge_requests/94#note_25574
