The patch looks good to me. The alloca use seems reasonable, I'm not sure if it's possible to implement it correctly without the function.

We usually don't add bug number in commit title. Could you please change it to:

msvcrt: Create copy of C++ exception object in std::rethrow_exception().

with following line in rest of the commit message:
