I don't think it's worth it, adding more checks makes the code more complicated for no good reason. The mouse may be moved at any time by the user, a couple of possible spurious messages in a very corner case shouldn't make a difference. Well, probably, or at least indeed I don't seem to have enough justification for those extra checks, I removed those.
