Please stop referencing these dummy reasons and admit that Codeweavers is going to make its next product with "exclusive" PulseAudio suport. I'm pretty sure we won't.
You could of course try submitting the patch anyway and watch it drop. Last time someone submitted this patch Michael Stefaniuc actually reviewed part of it (http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2009-April/074666.html).
