Some of the people should also stop their "ad personam" trips, even if the other side is clearly wrong. I'm still on ac'97, though this time it's a via variation (I've been downgraded a bit lately) and pulseaudio still more or less works for me with pure alsa, so I'm interested a bit, where the real problem lies (in hda kernel module ?).
