As far as I know Andrew Eikum had recently finished dsound re-implementation over mmdevapi. So looks like it's time to request for status update on this bug. Stefan, Andrew, what are the plans for the future regarding Wine interactions with PulseAudio? Would it be separate mmdevapi backend like one that was "mostly working" from Maarten Lankhorst's git or should end-user stick with mmdevapi alsa backend and rely on pulseaudio alsa-plugin to do the job? Thanks in advance for clarifications.
Yes, PulseAudio is supported through its ALSA compatibility plugin. It's possible that a PulseAudio driver might happen at some point, but there's no plans for one at the moment.
