The patch also makes some changes to parse_double helper, maybe the regression is caused by it. While reading C:\\users\\manu\\AppData\\Local\\Ascaron Entertainment\\Sacred 2\\options.txt file volume_group01 value is different between good and bad log (68 in good log and 69 in bad log (on my machine it's always 68)). I have no clue if this file changes between runs. Could you please try the attached patch applied on top of 66c9c358ae5c?
