Actually, porting the Crossover vkd3d 1.18 changes over to mainline vkd3d 1.19 was not too bad, as long as I restricted myself to *only* the libs/vkd3d-shader directory. Which I think was what you were suggesting.

Alas, it still just renders a red screen, and there are still a lot of shader compilation errors on the console output. I tried to grab some of them and attach them here.
That's a little odd.
