Msvcrt debug log; compressed to stay in limit boundaries

Got it to run with d3dx9_36. However the bug is still reproducible for me.
Attaching the msvcrt debug log compressed for size reasons.

Sysinfo:
Gentoo amd64/hardened.
GCC:8.5.0 -pie -hardened ssp
These old Wine versions would not compile otherwise.
On:
Thinkpad P50 (Nvidia)
Thinkpad T460 (intel)
Custom desktop with Bulldozer era APU+RX5500XT (AMD)
