So is this really a Wine bug when all you need to do is tell your video driver to do vsync?
It shouldn't be needed to tell the video driver to do vsync. While I can't find any r2xx people to report, the Radeon r3xx-r5xx families appear to work just fine, as long as the vblank sync is set to 1 by default in driconf. If vblank is set to 0 by default, then the framerate spirals up and out of control.
