As was pointed out in the recent wine-devel topic, there's not anyone actively maintaining the sound code. Volunteers/patches would be welcome to do this work.
1. The Wine maintainers want volunteers/patches for the sound code. 2. Art voluntarily writes a very popular patch to the sound code. 3. The Wine maintainers tell Art to go away and take his patches with him.
Maybe Wine needs to try some other way of attracting new maintainers?
Adding a large new feature != maintaining old stuff. Getting some smaller fixes in and proving you know what you're doing in the wine source code would help with getting the pulseaudio driver in. As has been said before, rather than adding new features and causing new regressions, let's start by fixing the easy stuff first, by making winealsa behave better. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
