I've tried a few things to no effect: Disabling compositing Using -r1024x768 and -r800x600 (as recommended) Running on one core (also as recommended) Setting the resolution before running the game Running in a window This is the original UK version (not UK edition!) of Simcity 3000, both 1.0 and 1.1. Though Googling it seems that a few other people have had this same message. This was with my old install that had a corrupt Audio.dll file, so I need to try it again with an uncorrupted install. I could try 1.29 at some point as this has a platinum status. I did try it in a virtual desktop, same issue.
