It take a minute or two between each sequence, and a few minutes before the interface is shown. The background 3D animation is really slow. The last wine release working correctly was 1.1.24, after regression testing, the first commit with the problem is: commit 09712593c8496be5e952b7316099f9eed5043203 Author: Alexandre Julliard <julliard(a)winehq.org> Date: Thu Jun 25 14:18:53 2009 +0200 ntdll: Release some address space after the process initialization is done. I got this too; I installed it with Steam and let it download and trying to start. I restarted Steam and it started to download something like 500M of patches. So maybe, unpatched version of game does not want to work. I use NVIDIA hardware and drivers 290.10. Folks whom have this issue, please try again with the latest wine and the latest patches for the game.
