This bug exists for me in a fresh prefix without any winetricks installed. It exists running the EVE installer for the following Wine versions: 1.5.7-213-g2e167f6 1.5.8 I do not have any previous Wine versions to test. Also tried WINEARCH=win32 - No change. It's pretty minor as it only affects the first page. Set your "Desktop_size" to whatever display values you like (1920x1080 is good setting if you are unsure) 6. Press "OK" 7. This is indeed a bug.
The simple workaround is: 1. Bring up a terminal window 2. Type "winecfg" 3. Click on the "Graphics" tab 4. Place a check on "Emulate a virtual desktop" 5. Set your "Desktop_size" to whatever display values you like (1920x1080 is good setting if you are unsure) 6. Press "OK" 7. Attempt to re-launch the installer and it should work as expected
