The crash occurs before the fullscreen login screen appears. WoW Cata was running fine with prior build. Additionally, Wine was recently updated (I use the Ubuntu PPA version which recently received an update as well). However I'm not sure which update caused the crashing as I didn't try the game until after both Cata and Wine were updated. Similar problem as Bug 24332, but not exactly.
