If you can compile wine yourself, you may try the hack V2 from bug 53035 or the hack from bug 53038 (only one at a time) and report if either fixes the issue. Hello,
I see a divide by zero exception in the proton log.
This may be wine 7.9 regression bug 53035 or bug 53038.
If you can compile wine yourself, you may try the hack V2 from bug 53035 or the hack from bug 53038 (only one at a time) and report if either fixes the issue.
Regards.
Hi. I don't think it's 7.9 regression. Afaik, Proton Experimental uses 7.0 and i purged 7.9, installed 7.0 stable with new prefix and got the same results. I even tried older versions of Proton like 4.2 and 5.0 and they didn't worked, but i'm sure Space Rangers HD did worked with Proton a couple years ago. Is it possible that problem is not with WINE, but with new Mesa drivers for example? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. years ago. Is it possible that problem is not with WINE, but with new Mesa drivers for example?
Anything is possible, but if it was a graphic driver issue, I think there would be more output in the log. Someone in the AppDB mentions that the game must be run once in a Russian locale before it can launch in other languages. Unless you're already trying to run the game in Russian, maybe you can try that? The AppDB entry is for the GOG version, but if it's a game bug, it may work for the Steam version too. You can override the language environment variable on the command line when running the game as explained by the reporter in that AppDB entry: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=38835 Regards. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
