http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56043 debtwjxv@sharklasers.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |debtwjxv@sharklasers.com --- Comment #3 from debtwjxv@sharklasers.com --- I have wine-11.15 running in Niri compositor, and while running the game "ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies" I noticed that scrolling to zoom (and in other places) does not work. I double-checked that I'm using Wayland backend, the logs on the console referred to "waylanddrv:wayland_process_init". I ran "WAYLAND_DEBUG=1 alacritty" in another alacritty terminal, and scrolling with touchpad produced these events, so I have only "axis" events and no discrete scrolling: [14:21:53.543764] wl_pointer#38.axis_source(1) [14:21:53.543786] wl_pointer#38.axis(868299855, 0, -0.43750000) [14:21:53.543802] wl_pointer#38.frame() [14:21:53.543821] wl_pointer#22.axis_source(1) [14:21:53.543847] wl_pointer#22.axis(868299855, 0, -0.43750000) [14:21:53.543864] wl_pointer#22.frame() [14:21:53.550572] wl_pointer#38.axis_source(1) [14:21:53.550583] wl_pointer#38.axis(868299862, 0, -0.43750000) [14:21:53.550592] wl_pointer#38.frame() [14:21:53.550603] wl_pointer#22.axis_source(1) [14:21:53.550631] wl_pointer#22.axis(868299862, 0, -0.43750000) In labwc scrolling worked, even when running labwc in Niri, but apparently only because of XWayland as it has "DISPLAY=:0" variable set and there is nothing about waylanddrv in the logs. I see this is actively worked on in https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/4809 (updated on 2026-08-06) so I probably just need to wait and run this game in XWayland for now. I have not found a way to make Niri generate "wl_pointer.axis_discrete" from touchpad in the configuration. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
