This affects the cracked version. Originally, SCCT is procted by StarForce which doesn't allow the game to run at all. Only affects single player (multiplayer has a different executale, which kinda works). That might very well be possible. As i said, to me it looks as a crash out of nowhere.... I'll have i look if i can find the demo somewhere. The attached log is when running as win98. At the end of this log I get a buffer overrun message from the application. "Buffer Overrun Detected! Program splintercell3.exe A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue and has been terminated." None of cracks I've found on the internet works in wine. I get either no output at all or just fixme:d3d_texture:basetexture_apply_state_changes Unrecognized or unsupported MAGFILTER* value 5 And of course game wishes to restart the system to install SF. On the other hand I talked to guy A.G.R. - he has got game from some kind of magazine, probably without SF - and he can play his game.
