Tried in the default XP and Win7 profiles. Haven't tried the game with the binary drivers yet (Nvidia). This must be an issue with the open source driver, because the game begins to load to the menu when using Nvidia 367.35, but crashes before the main menu should appear.
Actually no. Don't know what conclusion to make on your comments, but Sniper elite 2 starts currently with wine. The main menu is half drawn (half screen black). I turned the brightness up to the max. I could see the main menu correctly rendered. I started a game. The good news is the performance is great. The colors for most textures are dark. When using the binoculars in game the screen goes black. Interestingly, the on screen yellow compass marker gets rendered correctly. You almost have platinum game. Thief 2016, which I just tested suffers from the same color determination problems. Thief looks the same to my eyes.
