Running this command on Windows produces the expected path to the temp file:

c:\workspace>c:\msys64\usr\bin\bash.exe -c "/usr/bin/mktemp"
/tmp/tmp.RwJ7JEktDp

Running the same command on Wine 7.13 produces a "Permission denied" error:

Hello Joel, do you still get this `Permission denied`?

Current msys2 with wine-9.12 or wine-7.14 is working fine for me
with winehq packages for debian bullseye or bookworm.
(7.13 and before is crashing related to libfreetype6 before 35a59e.)

Hello Joel, I made another attempt to this bug,
using [1] inside a Debian Bookworm VM using winehq packages.

Unfortunatley received only a segfault with 7.13, and all
versions later than 7.14 succeded the mktemp.

Therefore closing this bug, if it is still an issue please reopen,
or file a new report.
