According to the regression test I performed between upstream Wine and Wine-Staging the Staging patch to blame: https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/blob/master/patches/ntdll-Criti... The stock Arch Linux kernel doesn't have this bug. In any case it is interesting that the problem didn't occur when I compiled Staging without the ntdll_CriticalSection patch.
