can be closed. using the following:

- Ubuntu 10.10
- kernel 2.6.36-02063603-generic
- Radeon HD 3200 with fglrx

- wine 1.3.11
- winetricks vcrun2005 (sp1)
- winetricks d3dx9_36
- OffscreenRenderingMode=fbo
- UseGLSL=disabled and enabled both tested
- DirectDrawRenderer=opengl

- Tales of Valor 2.601

- I admit I only tested low details

I can't make out any rendering bugs or graphical glitches.

nevertheless the game spontaneously locks up here. but thats another issue
