The very moment you click in the opened file-dialog on a ppt-file you get the crash. A simple stub implementation (returning E_NOTMPL) is enough to get around the crash. But maybe someone with more knowledge can build something on top of existing OleConvertIStorageToOLESTREAM ? Does the document open correctly with such stub?
AFAICT it does. I can view/edit all slides, though some have sometimes wrong layout/symbols in them (like a vector arrow is not displayed) but that could be due to the fact that my ppt`s are made with MSOffice, and I don`t know how compatible FreeOffice is with that. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. So maybe this only happens with powerpoints created in MSOffice?
