If you want, you can test with current git (see gitwine page in wiki), there
were some fixes to hardware acceleration lately. I can't test this myself,
because cs 1.6 and czero always crash for me when the MOTD is displayed.
I suggest you leave this bug open, change the summary, maybe lower priority
and/or sevrity and wait for a more qualified person to look into this.
