War Sector complains during initialization in the compiling, At one time I got
past the error message but that was by accident and cannot be repeated.

level1.exe makes a long series of small heap allocations, with numerous
GetLastError() calls in between, and then attempts to allocate a 524 MB block
of memory, which usually fails:

I was unable to get it run with native wine (1.7.16). I get a menu which has
Install, Readme and Exit and other options are grayed. Just exit seem to work.
Also the menu seem to lack some text/picture which crossover version showed.

I didnt bother to investigate this more.

I installed it on crossover and played a bit. I didn't see the bug mentioned.
Graphics, mouse, keyboard and even sounds worked.

Only the other link works. I am not 100% sure they are the same game. The
launcher had some options grayed, I think I pressed Install but it started to
load the game. Played a bit, but only very shortly.

I didnt see the issue mentioned here.

Hello folks,

I can't reproduce the issue(s) either. Gameplay is fine.

Comment #1 might be 2GB user address space split and already fragmented address
space.
