The same happens when you delete the 2nd character. The expected result is to delete a single character. This does not happen when you delete other characters. The expected result is to delete a single character. This does not happen when you delete other characters.

Strangely enough, this affects only some input fields. Command line field is affected, as is the first input field (target file name) in Copy or Rename dialogs (F5 and F6 respectively). The second input field in the same dialogs (file type) and inline rename (Shift-F6) aren't affected however. This is just part of a whole lot of other AutoComplete bugs (probably not reported). I'm working on a revamp on it right now so that it matches Windows behavior very closely (to the extent of what's implemented so far) because it's extremely off track right now.
