Have you cleaned up your source tree? Have you ran configure?

Make sure it doesn't have any patches on it. You can do that with something like 'git reset --hard origin'. Of it you want to preserve your current craft if any 'git checkout -b test origin'. If I run ./configure twice it seems to autoconf the makedep tool build correctly.
