Install Office 2010 and set the override for riched20 (needed for Powerpoint to start at all). 2. Start Powerpoint; it should open to a page with two empty textboxes. 3. Type something into the textboxes. 4. Go to either the Animations tab or the Transitions tab, and try to add an animation or transition 5. Powerpoint freezes and has to be killed. Powerpoint 2010 also freezes trying to view a slideshow, but first pops up a message that says it has detected that my "graphics card may not be configured properly for an optimal experience" then goes to a black screen with a rotating hourglass cursor. It, too, has to be killed.
