Unfortunately the game was removed from all online distributions. https://store.steampowered.com/app/13200/Unreal_2_The_Awakening/ The game loads the main menu properly, but when I start a new game or load an existing save the game throws an error window with a very long text in it then it quits. Winedbg never kicks in. The problem appeared in Wine-8.16 and is still present in Wine-8.18. Dear Michael, I attached the log file you requested. The crash occurs even if I disable audio via in-game options and in the Unreal2.ini file. There is a known audio related problem when launching the game, this is mentioned frequently both on WineHQ's Appdb and on Protondb: you have to remove the *.con files from the /Music/ folder in order for the game to run. From what I see it has nothing to do with audio but something about input/mouse.
