Likely the added function triggered the use of more (unimplemented) d2d stuff. Could you please describe how exactly I can get (free demo is best, or minimal possible purchase) matching version of Photoshop CC, install it with Wine and reproduce the problem?
I used Adobe Photoshop 2024 (25.9 to be specific, it used to be on Creative Cloud's older versions feature before they removed the 2024 versions) to replicate the issue, since the issue didn't appear in 10.12, but did when 10.13 came out. Hi Paul, Since Wine staging 11.5, a complete Photoshop crash occurs. However, I doubt both issues are related. I'm adding a terminal output for both Wine 11.4 (broken interface) and Wine 11.5 (crash). Under Windows, mount the .iso, and install Photoshop using the setup.exe (Maybe the installer can work under linux using Wine 11.5, but in my case it breaks). 2. Once installed under Windows, copy in your wine prefix: ProgramData/Adobe Program Files/Adobe Creative Cloud Experience Program Files/Adobe Photoshop 2021 Program Files (x86)/Common Files 3. In the .iso, copy the windows DLL needed by Photoshop from de dlls folder, in the same folder as Photoshop.exe. 4. Install winetricks components: winetricks fontsmooth=rgb atmlib corefonts allfonts gdiplus dxvk vkd3d 5. Start with wine 11.4: /drive_c/Program Files/Adobe Photoshop 2021/Photoshop.exe 6.
