I could have sworn I replied to this a while back.  I guess I didn't, so I'm
sorry for the delayed response.

Once I enabled DRI (glxinfo is how I checked as well), I immediately received
the symptoms described in bug 8190 (
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8190 ), which is no display at all.
