As expected, I am requested to provide username + password so that the remote server may grant access. However, upon providing the right credentials I get, "This computer must be connected to the network in order to open this document". I attach it in hope it may clear things up. 2. Native crypt32.dll I tried to use what is found in .wine/drive_c/windows/system32 and tried to copy one from WinXP. I ran from the command line: WINEDLLOVERRIDES=crypt32=n wine <full path to acroread> In both cases trying to open the file I was reported about an unrecoverable crash :( 3. Tested with a few encrypted PDF documents from my work requiring username/password to connect to vendor remote servers using Adobe LifeCycle Rights Management security method.
