Evernote installs and runs in Ubuntu 14.04.x, however 14.10 has broken the ability to use Evernote through Wine. Evernote installs and runs fine with recent Wine 1.7.30 Ubuntu 14.10 ships 1.6.2 -> outdated. Ubuntu 14.04 likely shipped an even older version but I suspect you added the PPA at one time, running it with Wine 1.7.x You're also installing in 64-bit WINEPREFIX. This is kind of hit-and-miss with old Wine versions.
